The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) has caused dramatic drops in business activity, cancellation of travel plans, as well as disruptions along the supply chain. Yet, some particular sectors and companies in Mena seem to have quickly adapted, and are responding to the current crisis. We spoke with Aanaab's Mounira Jamjoom about the growing potential of the Edtech sector and distance learning in Mena in light of the outbreak.

With more and more Egyptians ordering their meals instead of cooking, the country's online food delivery sector is expected to grow to $131 million by 2024. But with 95% of all orders for takeaway or delivery still being placed on the phone in Egypt, the market can be difficult to navigate, especially now during the uncertainty brought about by the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19).

Wamda invests in online grocery platform Nana's Series B round

Wamda has participated in Saudi Arabia-based Nana's $18 million Series B investment round. Nana is an e-grocery marketplace platform that powers hypermarkets and helps them showcase their inventory to millions of users.
