Cloud kitchens have become the fastest growing segment of the foodtech sector in Mena. The online food delivery sector in Mena

Despite a dip during the initial phases of the lockdown imposed to help curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic in Mena, online food delivery is showing little signs of slowing.

Wamda took a look at the growth patterns in the food delivery space from 2017 to 2024 across the Mena region.

Buying, renting or selling property is a big commitment, one that requires a personal touch, or rather viewing. With the Coronavirus pandemic restricting movement, demand for a distanced approach to buying and selling property is on the rise, paving the way for greater disruption in the sector.

The pandemic has accelerated the need for institutions to build an advanced digital framework as they adapt to new realities in a post-COVID-19 world. Last year, Uber acquired the region's first technology unicorn, Careem.
