As bilateral trade between Russia and the UAE has risen by 21% from 2017 to 2018 (and the number of Russian tourists by almost 65%), it then comes as no surprise that Russia is increasingly eyeing the UAE as a hub and entry point to other regional markets. We explore the fabric of the newly rekindled friendship between Russia and the Middle East.

While companies are increasingly gleaning information from their consumers' behavior, Aiisma founder Ankit Chaudhari says that it doesn't necessarily have to "be a bad experience". In Chaudhari's op-ed on Wamda, he explains how the evolution of regulations, the rise of data exchange solutions and the increased awareness of consumers could help them take back control of their data.

Myki co-founder Priscilla Elora Sharuk became an entrepreneur "by accident" - she was looking to solve a problem she herself was facing.
