The travel sector was the worst-hit during the lockdown and it will likely take years before numbers reach pre-Covid levels. Yet there are already signs of recovery and for some in the traveltech sector, opportunities have emerged to facilitate travel in this new age. In this podcast, we speak with Amadeus Gulf managing director and Fundok founder to get their take on the future of travel.
DAPI, a financial infrastructure provider that enables fintechs to securely develop and deliver compelling applications that empower consumers to make better decisions with their financial data, wrote an open letter to the UAE Bank Federation Advisory Council. In that letter, DAPI requested to launch a new phase of collaboration between the UAE's licensed banks and the emerging fintech community.
Failure in the startup world can seem like an inevitable milestone, with nine out of 10 startups ending in failure. For many entrepreneurs, it is a harsh but necessary lesson to learn, and a particularly tough journey to live through. One UAE-based founder who wished to remain anonymous, explains the hardships they faced when their startup failed.
