Investments in Mena - September 2020

Wamda, in collaboration with Digital Digest, took a closer look at Mena's September 2020 Investments with startups raising a total of $10.9 million, in 30 investment deals. Historically, investments tend to slow down in September but what we may be witnessing now is the trickle effect of the economic uncertainties around the world.
 
Khartoum-based Flex, a last-mile delivery startup, is aiming to take advantage of the rapid growth in the e-commerce sector in Sudan. We spoke with Waddah Fadul, co-founder and product development manager of Flex, to learn more about Sudan's startup ecosystem and his future outlook for the logistics sector.
